You Can't Buy Happiness But You Can Buy Books!

Reading gives you a place to go when you have to stay where you are!

Predictions/ expanding vocabulary

Charlotte's Web - E.B. White, Garth Williams, Rosemary Wells

Charolotte's Web is a classic that has always been one of my favorites. I read it as a child and am now currently reading it from an adult's perspective. This book is currently our "read aloud" book of the week. I read a book to my children once a week and they love this one! I ask them prediction questions as we go through the book and they love guessing what will happen next. Also, this book is great to use for word walls or vocabulary expansion. The kids love learning new words. For example, tonight we read objectionable and they learned what it meant. I would use this book in my classroom just as I did with my children. My target audience would be about 4th-5th grade!

Point of View Lesson Book 2

The Three Little Pigs - Elizabeth Ross, ROFry

I would use this book in collaboration with "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" Again, this book would be used to show point of views and how they change from another's perspective. The grade I would use this with would be 4th-5th grades!

Point of View Lesson

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs - Jon Scieszka, Lane Smith

I LOVE this book! It is one of my favorite! I plan to use this in my classroom by using point of view objectives. This book would be paired with the classical story of the Three Little Pigs and then the students would compare the points of views and the objective would be to see how these different points of view can change the WHOLE story! The intended audience would be 4th-5th graders!
