Learning about Authors/ Writing
This text follows two creative people-and a talkative dog and cat-through the writing process step by step. It will help when starting a lesson on writing and introducing first graders to what an author is and does. It walks through the writing process step by step so it would be a great informational text but written in story form. The children can refer back to the text when they forget something about the writing process or have a question about it.
